On April 28, 2016 Loretta Mae Hickerson died. She was born June 21, 1931 to Joseph and Mary Mack in Walsonberg, Co. She was raised on the Morning Glory coal mine. After excelling in high school she recieved a schoclarship to Colorado AM in Fort Collins. During her first year she meet an older student going to school on the new GI Bill, James “Jim” Hickerson. By the summer they were married. They lived together for the next 54 years until his death in 2008. Loretta is survived by their four children, James (Ken) Hickerson, Patricia Jean Thompson, Mickie Lu Reynolds, Katherine Jane Brown, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. On Thursday June 9, 2016 at 2:01pm, Loretta will be interred next to her beloved husband at the Riverside National Cemetery. Cemetery Riverside National Cemetery Staging Area #4 Thursday 1/1
