Louis Joseph Hirbour

Louis Joseph Hirbour, a Korean War Veteran whom served as a Aviations Mechanic on the USS LAKE CHAMPLAIN CDA-39 and who resided in Temescal Valley , Calif. after living in Yorba Linda for over 40 years passed on Dec. 29, 2016 surrounded by family after a brief illness . Louis, 84 yrs old , was born on 6/10/32 in Waterbury, CT, and was the son of the late Leopold and Lucienne Hirbour of Waterbury, Conn. Louis is survived by his wife of 61 years,Yvette Cyr Hirbour, sons Richard and Wife Kelly of Corona, Charles and Anne of Corona, daughter Lynne and Timothy Hooper of Chino Hills,Ca. , 5 grandsons, 1 granddaughter , 1 great grandson. Sisters Joan Thornberg, Marie Parent, Claire Meehan , and late brother Peter, all of Waterbury, Conn. Louis retired from Technic, Inc. as Corporate Vice President of the Providence based Metal Finishing Company after 50 years and carried on as a consultant of Chemsolve which he formed to stay involved in the work place. In lieu of flowers we ask all donations to the St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital Memphis Tennessee Memorial Service will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church 8540 Weirick Rd.
