Magdalena Martinez Perez

Magdalena (Maggie) Perez, 81, of Corona, died October 6, 2017 in Corona, CA. She was born September 29, 1936 in Corona, CA, daughter of Pedro and Maria Martinez. Magdalena worked as a grocery checker for various grocery stores in Corona and Norco for over 40 years until she retired in 1992. Magdalena was known for her love and dedication to her family and strong faith in God. She was a great cook and loved family celebrations. Magdalena was married to Robert Lopez Perez for 56 years. She was preceded in death by her parents Pedro and Maria Martinez, her husband Robert, sister Mary Coria and brothers, Edmund and Daniel Martinez. Surviving are daughters: JoAnna Canfield, Rachel Perez, Carolyn Perez, Helen (Jack) Peters, Elaine Araujo, son Robert Perez, 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren and two brothers Samuel Martinez and Pete Martinez. Memorial service will be held Friday, October 20, 2017 at 10:00 am at Thomas Miller Mortuary Crematory. Magdalena will be laid to rest with her husband Robert at Corona Sunnyslope Cemetery.
