Margaret H. Jameson died April 24, 2021 and has transitioned to the life eternal. She was 93. She died at home (as was her great wish) of natural causes after a long period of decline. Services will be for the family. Margaret was born in Princeton, New Jersey. She lived in Asheville and Canton, North Carolina; South Pasadena, California; and Hazard, Kentucky. In 1953 she married Charles H. Jameson (d. 1997) and she moved to Corona, California, where she lived the rest of her life. Margaret was the daughter of George and Eleanor Hammond. She had three brothers, William, George and Charles (all deceased), and is survived by her sister Mary. She is survived by three children Charles B. Jameson (El Granada, California), Eleanor Jameson (Corona, California) and Katherine Jameson Pitts (Portland, Oregon), eight grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Margaret was active in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and the First Baptist Church of Corona. Margaret attended the University of Southern California and the Presbyterian Training School for Lay Workers in Richmond, Virginia. In addition to her family and the church, Margaret devoted herself to the education of children. She was the director of the nursery school at St. John the Baptist Episcopal Church in Corona for many years between 1969 and 1981. She saw many of her nursery school children grow up to be parents in Corona. She served 12 years on the school board for the Corona Norco Unified School District (1981-1985 and 1988-1996) where she was proudest of seeing the creation of a program for high school students who are also parents. She enjoyed designing two homes, including her final home in the foothills south of Corona. The views of the mountains in all directions were a source of great pleasure to her. As a memorial, the family suggests you give a book to a child in your life and read it together. The family would appreciate your remembrances of Margaret.
