Peggy was born Margaret Louise Nunn on September 25, 1948, to Harold Ray, and Helen Ann Nunn. She lived in Long Beach, California until 1952, when her parents bought one of the new, post war, tract homes being built in Bellflower, California. She attended Ernie Pyle Elementary, Washington Junior High, and Bellflower High School. She met the love of her life, Terry Morairty while still in high school. On February 3rd, 1965, she unexpectedly lost her mother, and shortly after, she and Terry decided to marry. On May 1, 1965, at the young ages of 16 and 21, they married at St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Bellflower, California. After their marriage she continued school, and graduated from Bellflower High School in 1966. On June 4th, 1967 she became "Mommy" with the birth of their daughter, Rachelle. On June 2nd, 1992 she became "Mom-Mom" with the birth of their first grandson, Maxwell. On April 8th, 2001 they celebrated the birth of their 2nd grandson, Katin. On November 8th, 2017 she became "GG" with the birth of their first great grandson, Maverik. On October 2nd, 2018 they celebrated the birth of their 2nd great grandson, Jett. Peggy also was "GG" to Maverik's and Jet's big sister, Anikka. She loved being a mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Peggy loved all animals, but especially horses. As a child she always wanted a horse, and spent many hours at the local riding stables near her home. She finally convinced Terry she should have one, and that was the beginning. Her love of horses led to her participation in many shows in the hunter/jumper category. She became a professional trainer, teaching many students and their horses the art of jumping. She also worked as an Equine Science/Animal Care Instructor at Long Beach Unified School District in the Regional Occupational Program. She taught her students how to love and care for animals. During her tenure as a Pre-Veterinary instructor, she developed her own curriculum, which went on to be the standard curriculum for the Pre-Veterinary, Animal Sciences Classes at the Long Beach City College level. Since retiring, she has been caring for her horse, Gabby, and her pet Chinchillas. Peggy is survived by her husband of 57 years, her daughter Rachelle Ladieu and her husband Mike Ladieu, her grandsons Max and Katin Ladieu, her great grandchildren Maverik, Jett, and Anikka, her sister Paula Clark, her nephew Glenn Clark, her niece Holly Clark, and her great nephew, Alex Clark. She loved her family "to the moon and back." She will be missed beyond words by everyone who knew her. Service St. Matthew Catholic Church 2140 W.
