Margaret Louise Turner

Margaret passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2022. She was the daughter of Robert Leo Turner and Sara Corinne Turner, sister of Sara Kenyon (Barry), mother of Janet Thompson (Greg), Karen Pickering-Hernandez (Gabe), the late Sally Bondy (Greg), Thomas Pickering (Donna), and stepmother to Colleen Ward (Rob). Margaret was a proud grandmother to Chad Fontenot, Kyle Fontenot (Bryan Solis), Kayla Thompson, the late Leanna Thompson, Marissa Thompson, Robin Bondy Fernandez (Eric), Tabitha Pickering, and Corinne Pickering. She also cherished her role as step-grandmother to Jeff Ward and Tiffany Ward and aunt to Brian Fager, Laura Thiel, and Amy Gettys. She graduated from Anaheim High School in 1962 and was a homemaker from 1963 to 1975. She worked in human resources from 1975 to 1998 then as an administrative assistant for the county of Riverside until retiring in 2009. An active member of the First Congregational Church of Corona for over twenty years before joining the Corona United Methodist Church in 2016. She enjoyed being involved in church administration. Passions included square and round dancing, camping, traveling, gardening, sewing, and knitting. A member of PEO since 2000, she served in numerous capacities for the local chapter. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to PEO Chapter SI in Corona, CA - P.E.O. California State Chapter - Public (peocalifornia.org) Services will be Friday, March 4th at 10AM at Corona United Methodist Church followed by interment at Corona Sunnyslope Cemetery.
