Margaret M. Aguirre

July 20, 1930 — December 8, 2017

Margaret M. Aguirre, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother slipped away quietly after surgical complications on December 8, 2017. A native of Laredo Texas, born on July 20, 1930 she was particularly proud of her family heritage as a descendent of the citys founder, Tomas Sanchez. She arrived in California as the young bride of Mike Aguirre, a World War II Army Air Corps service member stationed at Laredo Air Force Base. They had met by chance at a wedding reception after a friend of a friends attempt to provide more dance partners. Relocating to California, Margaret spent the next 71 years as Mikes wife and a loving mother to their six children. While Mike served again during the Korean Conflict, Margaret cared for their young children and volunteered for the Red Cross. As a 50s mom she stayed busy as a homemaker, scouting leader and number-one cheerleader of everything involving the education of her children. After Mike retired in 1989 she enjoyed the leisure of traveling in their motor home all around the country. Margaret is survived by her husband Mike of Corona, her daughter Imelda Mead of Washington state, son Michael Aguirre (Robin) of Moreno Valley, daughters Grace (Dale) Masterson of Moreno Valley, Cindy (Barry) Illman and Melinda (David) Goetz of Corona and Marisa (Eli) Rangel of Perris.
