Today, November 17, 2013, after a very long 16 day struggle our beloved mother and a wonderful wife Margarete Hambrick, Gitta and Mamaw to all who loved her, succumbed peacefully to respiratory failure She started her journey at St Josephs Hospital on October 22nd with her 59th and final surgery. Dad, Debi and I were able to be with her 24/7 after they took her off life support. This was very precious time spent as a family. She had suffered for 45 years with cancer side effects and lifesaving surgeries as a 3 time cancer survivor. She is and will always be the strongest woman in the earths history. The doctors gave her 6 months to live in 1968 and she said, I am sure very politely, LOL. NO WAY! I have kids. She was very feisty, full of life and a true fighter. Thanks to Mom and Gods will she has been with us all these years as a fantastic mother, wife, friend, and much more. We are so lucky to have had her as our mom. We love you so very much more than we could ever say. We will miss you forever. Until we meet again please watch over us with Ashley Rose as our guardian angels. She was born in 1942, in Wiesbaden Germany. Mom passed away at the age of 71, as a longtime resident of Norco, California. She was preceded in death by her loving granddaughter Ashley Rose Saathoff. She was survived by her husband of 51 years Ralph “Whitey” Hambrick, 3 Children, Sandra McClure, William Hambrick, Debra Burkhardt, 2 son-in-laws Dana McClure Rick Burkhardt, 8 grandchildren, James McClure, Sean McClure, Roni Adrienne Saathoff, Nathan Jennifer Burkhardt, Bryan Burkhardt, Arick Burkhardt 1 great grandson Kayden Burkhardt, her beautiful puppy Princabella, adorable Labrador Misty and the cutest kitty Buttons.
