Maria Louisa Morales

Maria Louisa Morales, known to many as Wicha, passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026, at the age of 83 surrounded by the love of her family. Mary was the devoted wife of the late David Morales and a loving mother to her two sons, David “Pelon” Morales and Christopher Morales.

Born on July 28, 1943, in Corona, CA, she was proceeded in death by her beloved husband, David Morales; her granddaughter, Valerie Vargas Morales, brothers; Tony, Alfred, David; and parents; Aniceto and Josefina Hernandez.

Maria dedicated part of her life to helping children as a bilingual teacher’s aide at Robert Bruce Elementary School. Through her patience, warmth, and ability to connect with others, she made a meaningful difference in the lives of many students.

Maria is survived by her two sons, David “Pelon” Morales and Christopher Morales; her brother, Richard Hernandez; her sister, Vicky Hernandez; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many extended family members, friends, former coworkers, and all those whose lives were touched by her kindness and love.

Maria Louisa was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Maria’s family will forever cherish the memories of her strength, generosity, laughter, and the unconditional love she gave to those around her. Her legacy will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Brother, Sister, Family and everyone fortunate enough to have known her. Though her presence will be deeply missed, they find comfort in knowing she has entered into eternal rest in the loving embrace of our Lord.
