Maria Adela Morales

A Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, Aunt, & Mother to all.

Maria Adela Morales, age 97, of Corona California left this world peacefully in the early hours of June 20th, 2025.

She was born October 27th, 1927 to Francisco Lopez and Adelina Alvarenga-Lopez in La Virtud, Honduras. Early in her teens she took the journey from her home country to Sensuntepeue, El Salvador in search of a better life. Despite the societal gender formalities present in the work force during the 1950s, Maria Adela worked hard as a pharmaceutical clerk to help provide for her family, then secured her next momentous opportunity as a court reporter where she eventually fell in love with Jose Eduardo Morales Nunez. Her heart being as golden and big as it was, she accepted his two children from his previous marriage with open arms.

Together they had four beautiful children in Sensuntepeque and then shortly after moved to San Salvador, where they continued to create memories until their eventual journey to the United States in 1981.

As the years passed, she became known as "Mama Adela" and truly stepped into her role as grandmother and mother to all. There was never a dull moment with her, as she was always the life of the party! You could count on her to make sure you left any family event with a full belly and a universal sense of being loved - anyone was an honored guest in her eyes. Not only was she beyond generous, gift giving and acts of service being her strongest love language, but she loved to laugh and took any opportunity she could to crack a good joke to whoever would listen.

Mama Adela was the true matriarch of her family, she worked each and every day to make sure her grandkids grew up learning how to take care of themselves and their home and truly set the foundation of the importance of family unity as she was everyone's number one supporter, her loved ones constantly on her mind. Mama Adela was an adventurer, with a never-ending desire to be out in the world and experience new things - having traveled all across Europe and the States, with many road/camping trips under her belt before she passed.

97 years our beloved Mama Adela walked this earth, touching hearts and creating memories that will last till the end of time. Her presence will be exceptionally missed, as she truly was a force to be reckoned with.

Maria Adela is survived by her daughters Alma Marina Morales, Lillian Leticia Morales, and Sandra Xochilt Morales, 13 Grandchildren, and 20 Great-Grandchildren.
