Mara Rosario Negrete was born on January 23rd, 1949. She was raised in the beautiful small town of Penjamo, Guanajuato in Mexico. She was the loving daughter of Estanislado Rocha and Mara Jesús Rodrguez Rocha. Rosario was the youngest of 4 children, she grew up in a modest, conservative, loving and humble home, she was the apple of her father's eye and the joy of her mother's heart. Rosario started working at the very young age of 13, she worked in a small mill shop making tortillas. She was known as a very family orientated person who loved to sing and dance. The stories and wisdom she shared has touched many hearts, her knowledge and wise advice she gave has influenced many. Circa 1964 Antonio met Rosario and they both had an instant attraction as he has claimed. Their courtship, engagement and wedding were quick but very modest. They managed to stay together for 55 years while also raising 6 incredible kids, along with giving that same love to their grandchildren. They were strong-willed, passionate, loving, supportive, encouraging, forgiving and understanding people. Unfortunately, their battle against the pandemic ended in January 2021. But their legacy will live on forever through their siblings, their 6 children, Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and everyone whose heart they touched. They will be greatly missed and god took them home to prove to us that he only takes the best.
