Maria Rosario Verdusco

Maria (Rosie) Verdusco, 78 of Corona, passed away January 25, 2024 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Corona to Guadalupe and Maria. She attended parochial school at St. Edwards, and graduated from Corona Senior High School. She married Henry Verdusco on July 24, 1965, and together they had 3 children Laurine, Tony, and Rene. They were happily married for 58 years.

She retired from Norco Senior High School after 38 years where she started as security matron, and over the years was promoted to head custodian. The students at Norco had a saying “Rosie’s in charge of everything and has the keys to prove it”. Over the 38 years she made lifelong friends that she always cherished.

Her greatest love was spending time with family, friends, and her beloved pet BJ. She enjoyed camping trips, playing card games, dominoes, watching spooky movies, telling ghost stories and playing practical jokes on the family.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband Henry, daughter Laurine and partner Mona, Son Tony and wife Krys, daughter Rene and partner Berenice, granddaughters Hailei, Hannah, grandson Henry and wife Deanna. Great grandchildren Myles, Delilah, Mia, and Matthew.

She is proceeded in death by her parents Guadalupe and Maria, and siblings Henry, Frank, Mary, Ben, and Val.

We will always carry her memory in our hearts.
