Marjorie Louise Zornes of Corona, California passed away at UCI Medical Center on Sunday, March 25, 2018 from a brain bleed that occurred suddenly on March 23rd at her home. Marjorie, also known as Dorothy was born in San Diego, California on August 4th 1918. She lived in Downey for over 30 years and in Corona for the last 18 years. She really wanted to celebrate her 100th birthday and was so excited when the doctors, that did her pacemaker last year, said she should be good for another 10 years. She was the daughter of Henry and Olive (Romaine) Osler. She had 1 sister, Olive Robertson and 2 step sisters, Pearl and Viola Osler. During much of the depression, she lived with her grandparents and 2 great aunts before moving back to San Diego. As a teen she would spend the summers with her grandparents and even appeared as an extra on stage in multiple operas at the Hollywood Bowl. She married Clarence J. Zornes, a childhood friend just after the end of World War II, in 1945. Her daughter Sondra (Zornes) Jameson was born in 1954 and her granddaughter, Michelle in 1983. She will be remembered as being a wonderful, fun and loving, mother, grandmother, mother in law and friend to many.
