Marla Anna Melena Martin

Marla Martin, a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and cat mom passed away on November 20th, 2022, age 80. She was born in Rainy Lake, Ontario, Canada on November 24th, 1941. She was a self published author, loved poetry, rescuing cats, and yelling at 90 Day Fianc. Many people can say they would do anything for family, but she actually did everything she could for her family. She is survived by her 2 children Donna (Steve) and Dean, her sister Elaine, her 6 grandchildren Jennifer, Nicole (Brandt), Colby (Shari), Kylan, Kenzie & Kierra (David), and 2 great grandchildren Dominic and Ashton. She left behind her 6 cat babies (Boots, Cinderella, Fiona, Luna, Midnight, and Petey) and 2 dogs (Oreo & Cappy). She will be greatly missed by her many nieces and nephews, especially those she helped raise Amanda & Angela. She is preceded in death by her parents Lydia & Gus, brother Denny, sister Gayle, and 1 grandchild Jarrett. A memorial gathering is planned for 11:00am on Monday December 5th at Thomas Miller Mortuary in Corona. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to be sent to the ASPCA in her honor.
