Marva Hyacinth Roland was born n March 8, 1945 in Cristobal CZ (also known as the “Silver City”) a section of Colon, Panama to Albert George Britton and Una Daily. George, a police officer, moved to the United States and Una moved to Colon, Panama. Marvas mother Una, passed away when Marva and her brother and sister were very young. The trio were then raised by their aunt Tia. After graduating High School, Marva met Jorge Roland. they joined in marriage after Jorge joined the U.S. Air Force. They had two children, Antonio and Roland. They divorced in 1974. Marva worked various jobs and even made clothes to provide for her family. She later earned a degree in nursing. Marva enjoyed helping people and the nursing field was perfect for her. After her career in nursing, she devoted her time to making sure that her grandchildren arrived at school on time every day. She often arrived one hour early to pick them up. She enjoyed watching CNN, taking care of her sister, and visiting with her grandchildren. Marva was a very proud grandmother. Marva was a very kind spirit and often touched the hearts of people she met. She answered the Lords request to come home on April 13, 2022, when she succumbed to a variety of issues. She will be forever missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her two children, Antonio Jesus Roland and Ronald George Roland, her grandchildren: Marcello Mikko, Jacqueline Monique Roland, Antonia Dejanae Roland, Aysia Marie Roland, Ty Anthony Roland, Britny Janique Ragland, and great-grandchild: Aniyah French. Sister: Barbara Britton, brother: Lorenzo Albert Britton, sister-in-law, Xiomara Britton, daughter-in-law, Era Yolanda Hawk, and a host of nieces and nephews.
