Mary Helen McPherson was born and raised in Home Gardens CA. She was the second child born to Christiana Helen and Fallis Adilinous.
At the age of 18, she began working at Sears and Roebuck .
During that time, she met Thomas McPherson (Tommy) Who would later, but not too much later become her husband. It was impossible for her to resist his good looks and charm that she adored. There was always a blush on her cheeks when she talked about him.
Together they built a home and started a family in Home Gardens Ca.
After 44 years and successfully raising 3 wonderful children of her own and half of the neighborhood children, Mary and Tommy retired to Murrieta CA. where they enjoyed their lives together for 16 years before losing her beloved Tommy. She lived there another 14 years before moving to an assisted living facility. She lived in assisted living for 3 years before her loving Heavenly Father called her home.
Mary was a daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Aunt, Grandmother (Nana) Great Grandmother, but, most important a Child of God.
She was kind and compassionate and did childcare for several years. She enjoyed sewing, quilting, painting and crocheting. She and Tommy spent time bowling and loved a good game of cards with family and friends.
Loving our Lord as she did, Christmas was always her favorite Holiday. It was an all-out party on Christmas Eve at her house every year. There was delicious food of all sorts and gifts for all. Her Christmas breakfast is also a great memory.
Although we know that she will be watching over us, she will be missed dearly by all.
