MaryJane F. Thomas was born in Omaha, Nebraska on January 20, 1930, to Charles and Rose Krejci. MaryJane departed this earth on August 22, 2023. She was a loving Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Godmother, Aunt and Friend. She and her younger brother, Ray Krejci, were musical. She took accordion lessons from Lawrence Welk; he invited her to join his orchestra; but she declined to marry Dale A. Thomas. She went to South High School in Omaha, where she met her future husband, Dale. She worked at Brandeis Department Store as a Salesclerk and belonged to a women's Business social club. On January 21, 1951, MaryJane and Dale were married. From Omaha they traveled to Fort Benning, Georgia; there they lived in a one room of a woman who worked for the newspaper. MaryJane babysat the lady's daughter. From there it was on to Ft. Bragg, North Carolina so Dale could finish jump school. Like Ft. Benning they had a hard time finding a place to live, but finally found a Barnie Old House. When the well dried up they moved to an old house in town. They stayed in the house until they found out they were expecting. They needed to move again because the landlord did not allow children. Diann Alice was born February 19, 1952, in Omaha, Nebraska. Diann died 5 days later, on February 24th, 1952. From there they moved to Tokyo, Japan, The Land of The Rising Sun. While there, their son James was born. From there the family moved to Ft. Campbell, Kentucky and then to Rhineland Augsburg, Germany where their daughter Nancy was born. After leaving Germany they moved to Ft. Ord, California. After a stay on the North California coast, MaryJane and the kids stayed in Bellflower, California while Dale was stationed in Ft. Holabird, Maryland. While in Bellflower, they welcomed another daughter, Katherine. Soon after they purchased a house in Whittier, California. During their time in Whittier, Dale was posted in Turkey, leaving MaryJane to raise 3 small children by herself. Upon Dale's return to the states, MaryJane and Dale moved to his next post in Redstone, Alabama. During their time in Alabama their youngest John Charles was born. From there, MaryJane and the 4 kids moved back to California, while Dale took part in his last tour in Korea. Once Dale was back, they moved to Boulder, Colorado. After a year and a half there, they moved back to Bellflower, California, to start a new life after Dale's retirement from the Army. In 1969, they moved to Corona, California where MaryJane and kids joined St. Edward Catholic Church. MaryJane would go on to sing in the choir, become a Eucharistic minister in the church and a money counter. She joined the Catholic Daughters of America where she was treasurer and then Grand Regent Catholic Daughters of America Court St. Joseph #1410. She traveled to State and National conventions as a delegate for her court. During this time, she took classes on Researching family Genealogy. She and Dale enjoyed traveling, and fishing, both freshwater and ocean. She enjoyed knitting and rosary making too. She is survived by her 4 kids: James (Lynne), Nancy, Katherine (Rich), and John. Grandchildren: Shannon, Anthony, Annette, and Ashley Rose. Great-Grandchildren: Kylie and Paul. There are a multitude of friends and extended family too numerous to list whose company she enjoyed and were a part of her life.
