Maximillian “Max” Benisek age 86, passed away on July 1st. He was a resident of Corona and previously of Murrieta and Torrance, California. Max was born in Cleveland Ohio, but returned to Czechoslovakia with his parents and spent his childhood there. He then returned to the United States as a young adult and later joined the Military where he served as an interpreter for the Army because he could speak 5 different languages. After the Army he met and married the love of his life, Faye, and they raised 3 children together in Torrance, CA; Heidi, Max and Mike. Max was an electrician and a proud member of IBEWs local 11. He and Faye loved family celebrations, birthdays, and spending time with all the kids, grandkids and great-grandkids! They also enjoyed collecting antiques and road trips to Iowa. Three and a half years ago Max lost his darling wife, Faye, after 60 years of marriage. He leaves behind many friends and family. He is survived by his son Mike (wife Linda), daughter Heidi, son Max, 8 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Services will be held at Thomas Miller Mortuary, July 13, 2017 at 11:30 am Interment will follow in the Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, California.
