Michael "Doc" Paul Dougherty January 10, 1950 - February 6, 2022 Michael "Doc" Dougherty passed away Sunday February 6th 2022 with his wife by his side. He was born on January 10th 1950 in Camden, New Jersey. He spent his youth in New Jersey before joining the marines and serving in Viet Nam. He celebrated his 21st birthday in Japan then returned to the USA and landed in California where he spent the rest of his life with family and friends. He took the advice from a man he knew in childhood to "travel while you are young" and did just that. He hitch hiked back and forth across the US to see the country, sometimes with only a dollar in his pocket. He liked adventure, and was a steadfast and loyal friend. He was a good and decent man and a loving husband. Doc was always learning something new when working for himself or for others. He attended Collingswood Senior High School. He studied Novell Operating Systems at New Horizons Computer Learning Center, then Microsoft Operating Systems at SUNY Orange, followed by Business at California State University, Fullerton Extension and International Program. He worked for Toshiba Information Systems as a Hardware and Software Engineer. He worked at Option One Mortgage Co. as Senior QA for IT Operations. He transitioned to Real Estate and worked for Tarbell Realtor as Assistant Manager until his retirement. Doc is survived by his loving wife Robin, children Ian and Ashli, mother June Martin, brothers and sisters Bernie, Gail, Phil, Jerry, Larry, and Beth along with numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Service will be at 11:00am on March 9th at Thomas Miller Mortuary, 1118 E Sixth Street, Corona Ca 92879 Burial to follow at Riverside National Cemetery at 1:15pm. In lieu of flowers, please, donate to your favorite Veteran's Charity.
