Mildred Louise Peterson Hilbert

"Millie" Mildred Louise Peterson Hilbert left for her eternal home at the age of 95, while in the arms of her loving and devoted husband Ken Hilbert and surrounded by her live in family, in her cherished home, on Friday January 14, 2022 at 7:54am. She was born to Wilson Ertel Mabrey and Mildred Frances Cole in Omaha, Nebraska on October 2, 1926. She lived in Carter Lake, Iowa with both her parents and brother until their divorce. She moved with her mother, grandparents and brother to San Francisco, where she spent the rest of her adolescence growing up. She was baptized in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on February 3, 1940. She met husband Kent Peterson at a church dance and they were married on November 18, 1950 in the Saint George Utah Temple. They had 3 children Robin, Greg and Donna. They spent 40 years together in West Covina, CA. They moved to Riverside, CA 27 years ago, where she adored her home, her church and her life here. December 2008, her grandchild Jessica, husband Andrew and great grandchild Landen moved in to help her and eventually Kendry and McCormick were born shortly after. After Kent passed, she married Ken Hilbert on July 12, 2010. They spent their 11 years married together in their home with their family. She was so pleased to have a multigenerational home with the love and activity it brought. She leaves behind her husband Ken Hilbert, her children Robin Bair, Greg Peterson and Donna Kardiban, 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 1 great great granddaughter, and so many more family members, whom she loved dearly. She was an active member of her church for almost 82 years, including 17 years of service going twice a week in the Los Angeles Temple and fulfilling many callings. In the later years she watched online from the comfort of her home, doing her genealogy and keeping her temple recommend up to date. The legacy she leaves behind is one of love. All she wanted was for everyone to live their lives and be loved. She did such a wonderful job living that to the fullest.
