Ofelia (“Ofie” or “Bobby”) Alvarado

Ofelia “Ofie” Armenta Alvarado was born in San Diego, California. She was the oldest daughter of Hector Rubio Armenta and Maria Rogelia Estrada. Ofelia grew up in Santa Fe Springs and graduated from John Glenn High School in Norwalk. She gave herself the nickname “Bobby” in high school.

Ofelia is survived by her three children, Michelle, Lawrence and Hector Matthew, her three grandchildren, two nieces, a nephew, and many cousins.

Ofelia retired in 2009 from a 22+ year career with the Department of Corrections.

Ofelia’s passion in life was being a mother to her children and grandmother (Grammy) to her grandchildren. She will be forever loved and missed immensely and eternally.
