Patricia McNair Talley Scott went home to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Friday, November 17, 2017, after a long battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Pat was born to Helen and Ted McNair May 29, 1936, in Corona, California. She graduated from Corona High School in 1954 and attended University of San Diego and also University of Loma Linda at the La Sierra campus, where she received her teaching degree. She settled in Norco on Corona Avenue in 1960 where she resided until her death. Pat began her lifes work as an educator in 1964 with the Corona Norco Unified School District. She worked in a variety of roles in the district throughout her long career, including teaching in the Gifted program, becoming principal at Norco Elementary, and opening the new Foothill Elementary School in Corona. After her retirement, Pat continued to support the district by serving as a school board member for five years. Pat was very involved in local organizations, including the Riverside chapter of the Model T Ford Club founded by her father Ted McNair. Pat was also very involved in Chapter SI of P.E.O., serving as president in 1976-77, and 1999-2000 and was active in local chapter of the American Association of University Women ( A.A.U.W.). Pat and George loved to travel, spending time visiting many of our national parks - especially Utah - as well as spending time abroad in England, Europe, China, Russia, and the beautiful country of Switzerland, which they visited several times. Pat also loved to shop for clothes and passed that trait on to her granddaughters who loved going shopping with grandma. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, George Scott, and three children: daughter Diane Bradshaw (Obie) of Spokane, Washington, sons David Talley (Michele) of Quincy, Washington, John Talley of Corona, California. She is also survived by stepdaughter Patty DiFante ( Augustine) of San Clemente, and John Scott ( Suzy) of Lake Tahoe. She is also survived by grandchildren; Kyle and Leslie Bradshaw, Danielle Hodge (Garrett) and Marinda Talley, step-grandchildren Jason Gandola, Alex DiFante, Lindsey DiFante, Misty and Jason Scott and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Ted and Helen McNair, and her brother Jim McNair. A Rosary will be held at Thomas Miller Mortuary 1118 E. 6th Street, Corona CA on Tuesday, November 21 from 5:00-7:00 pm. The funeral mass will be held at St. Edwards Catholic Church 417 W. Grand Blvd. on Wednesday, November 22 at 10:00 am followed by a reception in the church hall with light refreshments.
