Patricia Ann Wallace

July 25, 1957 — September 12, 2023

Patricia (Patty) Ann Wallace passed away on September 12, 2023 at the age of 66 after a valiant battle with cancer. She has gone home to join the Lord in heaven.
She was born on July 25, 1957 in Upland, CA to Gerrit and Jeanette Vromans, and she lived in Southern California for her entire life, primarily in Norco, Bellflower, and Corona. She spent 45 years working in the food manufacturing and restaurant industry writing, developing, and implementing consumer food safety programs. Some of these were adopted as state policy within the California Retail Food Code in addition to international food safety compliance certifications.

Patty loved taking summer vacations in the mountains with her first husband Don and their children, fishing trips with her parents, and traveling with her husband Eddie to the Central Coast or Alabama for relaxation and comfort. She took great pleasure in gardening and watching her flowers grow. She was a firm believer in the power of dirt therapy.

She was a caring mother and loving wife whose presence brightened the lives of everyone she met. She will be remembered for her intelligence, kindness, and sense of humor. During the progression of her illness, she took great pride in sharing her thoughts and experiences with other patients to help their journey. Even in her final days, she maintained a positive outlook on life.

Patty was preceded in death by brother Gary Vromans, father Gerrit and mother Jeanette, and is survived by her husband Eddie Wallace, siblings Helena Obbink, Wendy Troost, and John Vromans, children Brian and Kevin Loutherback, Erin and Maya Wallace, and grandchild Alessandra Loutherback.

A private service will be held for close family. In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to be made in her name to the American Cancer Society or the Hoag Hospital Cancer Center.
