Paul J. Dyer

Paul J. Dyer was born to Mary Magdalene Dyer and Raymond Dyer on December 17, 1934. He was one of five children and a twin to his sister, Mary Dyer. His three older brothers were Ray Dyer, Jack Dyer and Robert Dyer. Paul was born in Des Moines, Iowa and raised in Los Angeles, California. He attended and graduated from Whittier High School in 1953. He and his junior high and high school sweetheart, Darlene were married for 62 years. They married on November 14, 1953, and had two beautiful children: Karen Ann and Johnnie Ray. They have six wonderful grandchildren: Conny, Kevin, Kelly McHugh, Paul, Dian, Eric Dyer and ten adorable great grandchildren. Paul, who loved to work, was employed by Knudsen Creamery, Tarbell real estate company, Boeing as a machinist and many years for Santa Anita and many California race tracks. Paul and Darlene spent their 25th wedding anniversary in Hawaii on the island of Maui in Lahina, compliments of Karen and Johnnie, for a wonderful relaxing week together. Their 50th wedding anniversary was on the sea, cruising to the Eastern Caribbean, stopping at St. Marteen, St. Thomas and Princess Cays, with their children and grandchildren. In his retirement years, Paul loved watching football, western movies and playing golf with his neighbor, Joe. He also enjoyed playing poker with his family and the men in his Trilogy community. Paul was a wonderful husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather and papa. He will be sorely missed. May he rest in peace.
