Peter Richard Mortensen December 31, 1933 – December 18, 2024

 Peter Richard Mortensen passed-on peacefully in his sleep at home on December 18, 2024, after a long healthy life and a more recent period of health struggles. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose warmth and humor will be deeply missed.

 Peter is survived by his wife of 39 years, Susan; his sister, Barbara; his children, Young Pete, Bruce, Chris, and Lisa; his stepchildren, Brian and Laura; 11 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son Wayne, and a grandchild.

 Peter retired in 1989 after a distinguished career in aerospace and spent his retirement enjoying golf and spending time with family and friends. Summers at Bead Lake in Washington held a special place in his heart, and it will serve as his final resting place—a fitting tribute to the serenity he cherished.
