His Life
When Phillip was a child, his family migrated to California where he graduated from Chapman University with a degree in Business Administration. He enjoyed playing sports in school and successfully played semi-professional hockey and baseball. Phillip loved to ski and shared his passion with his family on ski trips to Tahoe. Phillip traveled to many places in the world during his life including a trip to Africa and parts of Europe where he visited Paris, France. Phillip settled in California where he met Michelle. They married and together they had Jason, Phillip also shared a son Ryan with Adrianne. Phillip’s degree in business administration led him to a career in management. Phillips's management career included working in several retail establishments and ultimately, he found a home at Sears and Roebuck where he managed several stores.
Along the way, Phillip struggled with addiction. In the early 2000s, he found his way to the Lord. It was in his faith that Phillip found his calling. Phillip’s Christian walk led him to host bible studies and become a prayer leader, and his passions included leading the Men’s ministry. Although Phillip’s health began to fail, he continued to minister and give others hope through the sharing of the word of God. Phillip was known for his passion for outreach, in routine times and those of trouble it was well known that Phillip would give you a call. He would simply say, “You alright” or “Just thinking about you.” Phillip held the position of Elder at Shekinah Bethel Church where he led the worship on occasion. He prided himself on being only a call away, he was always there day or night. His final works included being an evangelist for youth, just another passion of his. Phillip was loved and respected by many, and he will never be forgotten.
