Ralph M Padilla

Ralph Marquez Padilla went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 15th, 2021, at the age of 76. His legacy continues through his four children Gregory, Alina, Joel, and Alyssa. Along with his five grandchildren. Ralph was born in 1944 to Bernardo and Apolonia Padilla in Calexico, Ca, as the third of seven children. Ralph served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, eventually earning the rank Petty Officer Third Class of the USS Perkins. Upon leaving the Navy, Ralph pursued higher education. He spent the next 40 years dedicating himself to Southern California Edison as a telecommunications supervisor. Ralph married Lydia M. Padilla in 1971. Together their love would span 31 years until her untimely passing. Ralph was known as a kind, gentle, and giving person whose Christian faith was a foundation in his life. He loved the Lord, sports, music, and his beloved Yorkies. An avid fisherman, Ralph enjoyed sharing his love of the sea with his family. Together they spent time fishing the waters of Mexico to Alaska, catching salmon, halibut, and dorado. These adventures became the memories that his children hold dear. Those that knew Ralph say he was a listener first, putting the concerns of others before his own. He was loved and will be missed by many.
