Ray Hubert Wilkerson

Ray Hubert Wilkerson October 9, 1941 - May 26, 2022 Rialto, Ca. - On Thursday, May 26, 2022, Ray Hubert Wilkerson, dedicated husband, and father of four children, passed away at the age of 80. Born October 9, 1941, in Youngtown, OH, son of Hugh Ezra Wilkerson and Carrie Lee Underwood, he led very prominent and successful careers both in the Air Force and in civilian life. His hard work, outstanding work ethic, and dedication to success allowed him to retire from the U.S. Air Force as a Chief Master Sergeant where he served25 years and earned several highly regarded medals, and ribbons; Meritorious Service, AF Commendation, AF Good Conduct, Army Good Conduct, National Defense Service, and the AF Outstanding Unit Award to name a few. He went on to start and retire from his second career in the field of logistics with Lockheed Martin, Palmdale CA. Ray, a high-spirited, young at heart, uplifting person, enjoyed the luxury of having nice cars, playing golf with his "buddies", visiting with friends, and best of all, mentoring his grandchildren. His love for life and those around him proves to be a true inspiration to everyone that has been fortunate to make his acquaintance. Besides his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his two sisters: Mozelle Snead, and Jacqueline L. Burley. He is survived by Jean S. Wilkerson, his loyal bride, along with their four children: Ray Chonsay, Tracy Lee, Paul Scott, and Tyrone Van. He also leaves behind many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his sister, Sybil A. West, and other family members and friends whom he cherished so dearly. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, July 1, 2022 - at 10:30 am at Sierra Memorial Chapel Mortuary in Riverside, Ca followed by a short internment service at 12:30 pm at Riverside National Cemetery.
