Early in the morning of May 27th, 1956 at St. Marys Hospital in Long Beach California Reed entered life to Walter Ivan Harrel and Bebe V. Harrel. He was the eldest of two children. Reed grew up in the Wilmington, Carson, and the South Bay area. He attended Harbor City Christian School until entrance into junior high school. After graduating from Carson High School, he attended Brigham Young University majoring in Political Science. Upon his return from college, he set forth on his lifetime career in the real estate field primarily as a title officer and title insurance. For those who know Reed knew he was smart, witty, charming and a spirited soul. He loved political controversy and often dove into the heat of the moment. He was for those less fortunate and would champion their cause hoping to make things better. He enjoyed music, playing his guitar, and loved the movies. Above all things, he believed in the power of love and his heart embraced that. A kind and gentle spirit has been called home, leaving us wonderful thoughts of times gone by.
