Richard Edward Ahumada

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved son, brother, family member and friend, Richard Edward Ahumada (age 38) on March 2, 2022 while at home. Richard was born on October 9, 1983, to Julia Montoya and Edward "Eddie Don" Ahumada in Corona, CA. Anyone who knew Richard saw his smile and knew him to be fun-loving and full of life. Richard didn't have any enemies and made friends with everyone he met. He loved visiting the local casinos with family, but his true passion was fishing. Richard could work six days in a row, and you could bet he'd be fishing on his one day off. He also loved baseball and football, always remaining a devoted LA Dodgers and Raider's fan. Richard worked for Keurig Dr. Pepper and was a member of the Teamsters Local Union No. 952. Richard is survived by his mother, Julia Montoya (Michael), father, Edward Ahumada (Toni), brother, Salvador Montoya, grandmother, Virginia Loza, grandmother, Lucille Ahumada, grandfather, Edward Ahumada, uncle and fishing buddy, Joe Loza, stepfather, Larry Montoya, and longtime girlfriend Tawnya Gomez, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ernie Loza and Uncle, Frank (Pancho) Ahumada. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Thomas Miller Mortuary Corona Chapel located at 118 East 6th Street, Corona, CA. Richard's funeral will be held on Saturday, March 19, 2022. Richard's viewing will begin at 9:00 am, the funeral mass will start at 10:00 am, and his burial will follow immediately after the services at Corona Sunnyslope Cemetery. Friends and family are invited to visit with Richard's family at the Women's Improvement Club of Corona located at 1101 S. Main St, Corona, CA following the burial.
