Richard Sterling Kasinger

Richard Sterling Kasinger, age 77, of Riverside, California, passed away on August 16, 2025. He was born on September 14, 1947, in Riverside, California, to Sterling and Alice Kasinger.

Richard graduated from Rubidoux High School in 1967 and shortly after enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving honorably until 1970. Following his military service, he began a long and fulfilling career with Pacific Bell as a telephone repairman. Richard dedicated over 35 years to the company, which later became AT&T, before retiring.

An avid book reader, Richard found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including the aroma of freshly brewed coffee, the tranquility of his garden, and the cheerful sounds of chirping birds and his beloved chickens.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Sterling and Alice Kasinger, and his son, Richard Sterling Kasinger Jr. “Little Richard”. He is survived by his brother, Darrel (Dianne) Kasinger of Washington; sisters, Judy (Steve) Dangerfield of Utah; Debbie Kasinger of California; Carla (Chris) Perry of Michigan and brother, Billy Vickery of Florida. He also leaves behind an uncle, two aunts, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Richard will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.

A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held on September 9, 2025, at Riverside National Cemetery.
