Robert ’Bob’ Thurman

Robert Moreno Thurman, age 77, passed away from ampullary cancer in his home surrounded by his family and friends on February 1st, 2018. He was born on September 3, 1940, in Superior, Arizona and moved to Phoenix at an early age. From there, he moved to California where he began the next 50 years of his life as a real estate broker and beloved friend. He was the first of his family to graduate from college when he received his degree in Chicano studies from CSUF. In addition, he developed immense personal relationships during his 45 years in Orange County and maintained closeness to friends in San Diego, Arizona, and Mexico. Bob travelled annually to Cabo San Lucas, where he formed lifelong bonds with locals and travellers alike thanks to his considerate and comedic character. He was married for 17 years with Irene Tretyak and is survived by his kids Maureen Anderson, Regina Arevalo, Scott Fuenning, Rob Thurman, Rachel Corbett, John Grichine, Art Grichine, Pavel Tretyak, 10 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
