Robert Louis Manuele

Age 85, passed away on March 15, 2018. He was born on May 3, 1932 in Fredonia, New York and had lived in Corona, CA for 21 years, previously in San Bernardino, Fresno, Walnut Creek, Hacienda Heights, Minnetonka, Minnesota, and Rochester, Michigan. He met his wife when he was 12 and was married 64 years. He obtained his Doctorate of Law, LLB (1948-1953) from the University of Buffalo. He practiced general Law in Fredonia, NY for ten years. The remainder of his career was spent in the title insurance industry as V.P. Chief Underwriting Counsel, working for various companies including Transamerica and World Title. He was recognized as an industry innovater and leader who set standards that are still practiced today. He was licensed to practice law in NY, CA, MN and MI. He was Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, appointed as a Lay Defender of the Bond by the Vatican, and Hospice Volunteer for 20 years. He spent his life in service of others and mentored all he came into contact with. Although large in stature, he was a gentle man of quiet wisdom. He was surrounded by his family as he made his way home. The final words spoken by his wife sum up the feelings of his family. “We had a wonderful life. We laughed and loved so much and we will see you again soon.” Robert is survived by his wife Marian Pollina Manuele of Corona, CA; daughters Victoria Caulum (Ross) of San Diego, CA, Paula Doherty (Tim) of Prior Lake, MN, and Mary Wurster (Rick) of Roseville, CA; sons Robert L. Manuele Jr. (Karen) of Placentia, CA, Douglas Manuele (Jody) of Phoenix, AZ, Andrew Manuele of Chino, CA, and Robert E. Manuele of Las Vegas, NV; brother Frank Manuele of Palm Beach, FL; 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Carolyn Manuele and sister Eleanor Manuele. Celebration of Life will be at 10am on April 21, 2018 at St. Matthews Catholic Church in Corona, CA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Parkinsons Foundation.
