Roger, son of Wallace & Norma Brown, was born April 27, 1933 at Methodist Hospital in Los Angeles, California. Roger, his older brother Don, and his sister, Dorothy were raised in Los Angeles. During his high school years they moved to Temple City. He graduated from the 1st graduating class at Rosemead High School in 1950. After High School he worked for Pacific Telephone Co. He joined the Navy reserve in 1952. Roger met Betty in 1952 through a school friend. They were married August 30, 1953. Roger went on active duty in the Navy in April 1954 and he was stationed in San Diego and San Francisco. He was discharged in 1956 and returned to his job at Pacific Telephone Co., they were living in Covina, California at that time. A friend invited them to a church in Covina, where they both received Jesus Christ as their Savior. They adopted 3 children Carolyn in 1958, Brad and Brian in 1960. Roger decided he wanted to do something different so we bought a motel in Pico Rivera. After 7 years we felt it was not the best life for our children. So we sold it and Roger went to work for General Telephone Co. In Whittier He changed jobs again I n1980 we went into the antique business in Whittier. In 1992 Roger took an early retirement we lived in La Mirada 27 years then moved to Chino Hills and then to Corona. He enjoyed fishing yard work and his 4 grandchildren At Northpoint he served in ESL program helped with resource folders and we were greeters. Active in SS class Roger's gift was helps. With a battle of Dementia/Alzheimer's and Cancer, God called him home to glory on March 15, 2018. Psalm 116:15 Precious in the sight of the Lord, is the death of His Saints. Celebration of Life will be held on March 24th, Saturday at 11:00 AM at Northpoint Church 988 W.
