RONALD (RON) E. FICKENWORTH Age 57, of Riverside, CA went to his Heavenly home on December 23, 2020. He passed away unexpectedly from complications of COVID-19. He is the loving husband of Ann-Marie (Enos) for 36 years, the proud father of Sam and Shawn. He was born in Erie, PA, the only son of 7 children of the late Raymond and Sophie Fickenworth. He is the treasured "baby" brother of his six sisters, Barb (Jim) Vargo (both deceased) Sandy MacHutta, Beverly (Michael) Hale, Bobbi (Ashley) Swift, Christine (Rob) Gibson, Becky (Bill) Baldwin. He is the beloved son-in-law to Ruth Enos and Joseph (deceased) Enos, and brother-in-law to Joseph and Tina Enos. He is an uncle, great uncle and loyal friend to many. He grew up in Erie, PA, a 1981 graduate of Cathedral Prep HS. He joined the US Marine Corp and honorably served our country. He was eventually stationed in CA where he met Ann-Marie and built their life together with their sons. His career led him to be an Assistant Chief Engineer, Facilities Management & Power Plant at the Los Angeles County Harbor UCLA Medical Center where he proudly worked for 30 years. Ron lived his life putting God and family first. Service to St. Mary Magdalene Church was important to him. He served as Master of Ceremonies, taught on The Baptism and Family Life Ministries and was a member of The Knights of Columbus. The Boy Scouts of America was one way for Ron to share with his sons his love of outdoor activities, camping and fishing. He held many positions in scouting and lived by example the Scout Law and Oath to be trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent. These values live on through his sons. He was a dedicated father and volunteered for school and sports events. Being on the Chain Gang for Centennial HS football, Dad's Club at Lincoln Alternative Elementary, baseball and soccer Coach all fueled his inner child. He loved to make people laugh and was always ready with a joke or trick to entertain others. He loved his family dearly and was a fierce protector of them. May Ron's memory live on in the hearts and memories of all who loved him.
