A Life Well Lived

Ron was born on March 30, 1943, in La Jolla, California, to Ray and Charlotte Springer. Most of his childhood was spent in the small town of Storden, Minnesota, alongside his brother, John, and sister, Joyce. In 1957, Ron was confirmed at Bethany Lutheran Church in Storden Mn.

After graduating high school in 1961, Ron attended Waldorf College before proudly serving in the United States Army. While serving, he trained as a draftsman and was in the special police.

In 1966, Ron married the love of his life, Sharon. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, hard work, and adventure. After starting their family, they settled in Corona, California, where they raised their two children, Amy and Jonathan. In 1984, they became members of Northpoint Evangelical Free Church after being invited by their neighbor, Pastor Don Smith, and remained devoted members ever since.

Ron was an entrepreneur at heart. He owned his own trucking company, hauling grain and meat across the United States. Later, he co-owned Sexton’s Automobile Shop and eventually opened Circle City Cyclery. In every endeavor, Ron was known for his determination, curiosity, and integrity.

He loved the outdoors and the open road. Whether riding his Harley to South Dakota, camping in the desert, taking family trips, or working on a backyard project, Ron found joy in adventure and in bringing people together. He was always willing to lend a helping hand and quietly showed his love through actions rather than words.

In the last 20 years, Ron deepened his relationship with the Lord and began to serve on Saturdays with Northpoint’s Campus Care Group. Also, his participation in two growth groups led by John Cosgrove and Keith Tront, helped formed many meaningful friendships during the last decade of his life.

Ron’s greatest joy in his later years was spending time with his grandchildren, Alicyn, Michael, and Jonathan. He loved sharing adventures and continuing family traditions with them. From trips to the Grand Canyon and camping in the desert to exploring Williams, Arizona, and taking jeep rides filled with stories and laughter, Ron passed along not only experiences, but also a love of adventure and curiosity about the world.

Ron will be remembered for his steady presence, generous spirit, strong work ethic, and unwavering devotion to family and friends. He leaves behind his loving wife, Sharon; his children, Amy and Jonathan; his siblings, Joyce and John; and several nieces and nephews.

Ronald Springer, 83, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family
