- Rubn Pea Vallejo, 67 years old, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family Wednesday, May 12th 2021, in Corona California, after being diagnosed with cancer over a month prior and being sick for a couple of months. He was never in pain. He was born in Mexico City, January 22nd 1954. He moved to Corona, California in 1992 and later worked at Merrick Engineering for more than 20 years. He leaves behind his mother, Isabel Vallejo del Villar, 92 years old, his eldest sons Rubn Pea, Emmanuel Pea, his daughter Maria Isabel Pea, and his two youngest sons Gerardo Pea and Fernando Pea. Rubn now joins his wife Mara Luz Canchola de Pea, whom he called Lucero, who passed away December 2nd, 2012, at 55 years old. They met in Mexico City and later married in 1979. Rubn loved her more than anything in this world besides his family, and he missed her greatly. Rubn is now also reunited with his grandmother, Carmen del Villar Bernal, his dear uncle and aunt Gonzalo Olivar Tapia and Consuelo Vallejo de Olivar, and his cousin Gonzalo Olivar Vallejo. Rubn was headstrong, obstinate and often impatient. He was practical, pragmatic, and sensible. But he also departed with many dreams and hopes in his heart, for him and for his family. In life as in death, Rubn is a soul with a heart full of love, personified in his strength, his actions, and sacrifices for those around him, his friends, and his children. He showed much kindness to everyday strangers, helped all as he could, and loved all animals, not only all pets he ever owned, but strays and wild animals he encountered. Rubn gave everything for his family, he suffered much and went without much so that they all could have everything. In all his sacrifices, Rubn achieved what his cousin Gonzalo once said of the life of Mara Luz- an exemplary life full of love and strength, a worthy life that each and every one of his sons and his daughter should honor by living as their parents did. As they say, death is the most difficult part of life, not for those that pass away, but for those that stay behind. And thus we pray for Ruben, may he be redeemed and forgiven, and may he find eternal rest in the perpetual Light with Lucero, and may Gods mercy and peace find him and his family. They will forever love Rubn and Mara Luz immensely and miss them greatly.
