Sara L Cervantes

Sara Landin Cervantes, 91, died Friday, March 17, 2023 in her home surrounded by her family. She is survived by her nine children, twenty nine grandchildren, forty four great grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Luis Cervantes Avila in 2009. Sara was born in Riverside, CA She emigrated to Mexico after she completed first grade in Riverside. The family settled in Mexicali where she met her husband Luis and were married in 1949. Sara and Luis raised their nine children in Mexico before returning to California in 1969. Sara loved music and dancing. Some of her favorite artists were Pedro Infante and Joan Sebastian. Sara was an example of how a life should be lived and taught her children about courage, positive attitude, faith, hope, perseverance, determination and a love of life until her last breath.
