Scott Kilbourne Waddell passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 21, 2023, at the age of 57. Scott was born on May 17, 1966, to Wayne and Joann Waddell. He had three older brothers: Glenn, Michael and Christopher. When Scott was 5 years old, he moved with his family from Inglewood, Ca to Manhattan Beach, Ca. There he played Little League baseball, (threw:Right - batted:Left). As a youth he developed a love of volleyball, starting on junior teams at church. As he got older, he played on the beach with friends and then on the team at Mira Costa High School. He went on to play at UCLA before transferring to play at BYU, where he received his Bachelor's degree. Scott served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ in the Dominican Republic. He married his sweetheart, Michelle Strong on February 28, 1998, and were sealed for eternity in the San Diego Temple. He was a devoted husband and father to his son Grayson and his daughters Riley and Peyton. His family meant everything to him. He was a proud, supportive Dad. Scott never met a stranger. He was a light to people around him. People were drawn to him. He had a huge heart, a great sense of humor to go along with a wonderful chuckle. Scott served tirelessly in his church and within his community. He was a 20-year member of his local Rotary Club and served as their president for one of those years. He radiated love and compassion in all that he did. Scott was preceded in death by his parents Wayne and Joann as well as his brother Mike. He is now joyously reunited with them as well as other relatives. Scott's funeral service will be held on Monday morning July 31, 2023, at 1510 Taber St. Corona, Ca 92881.
