Servando Magadan Duque, 63, returned to his heavenly home on February 5th 2021, after a valiant battle with Covid 19. His devotion to his family and his firm belief in God supported him in his struggle and ultimately gave him peace. Servando was born to Jacinto Magadan Gallardo and Magdalena Duque Santana, in Amuco de la Reforma, Guerrero Mexico on August 18,1957. He was a support for his father in his adolescence, and was taught how to work hard at a very early age to be able to help his parents support their family of 10. He loved the ranch life, his passion was always horseback riding through the fields tending to his fathers cattle. He was blessed with a loving family, and married his best friend, Rufina Magadan, after two years of dating, on January 6,1980 in Amuco, Mexico. Servando helped raise his four children with patience, discipline and humility. He was a self-proclaimed handyman, who encouraged his children to be resilient, honest, and resourceful. The love he had for his family grew even more for his grandchildren and being a grandfather was a title he wore proudly. He often took his family on long trips to Mexico, to visit the place he grew up in, and meant so much to him. Servando dedicated his children to God and encouraged them to explore the love of Jesus Christ. He was proud of his faith in God, which he learned from his mother, and carried with him for twenty four years. He never missed an opportunity to share the gospel with anyone who was willing to listen , and it is with that same faith, that we honor the legacy he left behind. He is dearly missed by his loved ones, who celebrate the fact that he is at peace with his creator.
