Stephen Morgan Plenty

It is with enormous sadness that the family of Stephen Morgan Plenty shares the news of his peaceful passing at home on Friday, July 20, 2018, surrounded by his wife, Patti, his daughter Heather, his son-law, Matt and close friends . After a 4-year battle with cancer, Steve is at peace. Steve was born on March 7, 1949, in Neptune, New Jersey and lived most of his young life in Bay Head, New Jersey, a small Jersey Shore resort town. After his first year of college at Virginia Tech, Steve moved to California and finished his engineering degree at Cal Poly Pomona. After a 34 year career working for the US Department of Defense, Steve retired on July 3, 2007, referring to July 4th of that year as his “Independence Day”. He and Patti concentrated on traveling to many of our US States and to parts of Europe. One of the big highlights of travel was a family vacation to Bay Head, in June of 2017, to share the memories of his childhood with his daughter, Heather, son-in-law, Matt and his grandson, Morgan. Steve was kind, wise, and gentle, had a brilliant mind and a pure soul. He will leave a giant hole in the hearts of those of us who loved him and will be terribly missed. He is survived by his wife and daughter, his brother John and his grandson, Morgan, the namesake of his maternal grandfather. A memorial service will be held at the family home on August 4, 2018 at 10:00am. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society would by graciously appreciated.
