Steve Alan McKee November 19, 1947 - February 23, 2026

Steve Alan McKee passed away peacefully on February 23, 2026 surrounded by family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose life reflected hard work, faith, humor, and love for his family.

He married his beloved wife, Pamela McKee, in 1966 and together they built a life across many states including Texas, Ohio, Georgia, Minnesota, California, and Oklahoma. Family remained central to everything he did.

He was the proud father of 8 children, 6 sons and 2 daughters, and a loving grandfather to 15 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. He welcomed and loved his sons-in-law and daughters-in-law as part of his family. He was known for his quick wit, storytelling, and willingness to help anyone in need. Family will always remember him dressing as Santa and surprising the grandchildren, only to be quickly discovered as they recognized his voice and presence. Those moments reflected his playful spirit and created lasting memories.

He took pride in his appearance and personal traditions. His favorite cologne and his signature request for a glass of ice and a Coke became cherished family memories. He enjoyed fishing and working in industries including farming, boating, and heavy haul. He also loved serving in scouting and cooking at campouts, especially biscuits and gravy.

His faith was important to him. His favorite hymn, “Abide With Me; ’Tis Eventide,” reflected his belief in peace through the Savior and eternal family ties.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, service, and devotion to family and will be deeply missed.
