Steven L. Usher

Steven Louis Usher passed away on Monday, May 25, 2020. He was 69 years old. We have lost a great Husband, Father, Brother, Uncle, Papa, and friend to all who crossed his path. Steve was born in Maywood, California. He grew up in El Monte and graduated from El Monte High School in 1969. Eventually, Steve followed in his fathers footsteps by beginning a career in the Water Industry. He obtained numerous certifications in water treatment and distribution. In 2012, Steve retired from the Cucamonga Valley Water District. In 1976, Steve quickly fell in love and married Judith O'Nesky. They welcomed their first son Scott in 1980 and their second son Bryan in 1984. As a father, Steve passed on his love of fishing, cooking, and the outdoors on to his children. Steve would lead his family on many camping, boating, and deep sea fishing adventures. Steve will be remembered most for being a friendly, thoughtful, and caring man. He loved to talk. You could have known him for years or could be a stranger standing next to him in a line, Steve would find something to talk to you about. He loved to cook. Many of us will remember enjoying his homemade pizza, pico de gallo salsa, peanut butter fudge, or birthday cakes for his grandchildren. Lastly, Steve understood people. He was loyal and trustworthy. Whatever you needed, you could count on Steve to be there for you. Steve was an amazing man and will be missed dearly.
