Sue entered into this life on October 14th 1938 and passed away into eternal life on October 13th 2020. Sue was born in Cleveland Ohio to the parents of Odin and Minnie Werther. She had one sister, Harriett, who was 12 years older. Sue continued to live and go to school in Clevland and graduated from Shaw high school in 1956. After high school Sue went on to college at Ohio Wesleyan. Sue ended up transferring to Miami of Ohio where she graduated with a teaching degree. With anticipation and nervous excitement Sue moved to Anaheim California to begin her teaching career. She taught for 2 years in the Anaheim school district before transferring to the Corona Norco Unified School district where she continued her teaching career for 33 years. It was when she was living in Anaheim that Sue met her husband Joseph Carl Simmons. Joe and Sue Married on August 11th 1962 and remained married for 51 years until Joes passing in 2013. Joe and Sue moved to Norco California and began their family in 1969 with the adoption of their first child Eric. Sue gave birth to her next two children, Wesley (1971) and Heidi (1977). In 1975, Sue and her family moved to their dream home that they had built in South Corona. This is where the Simmons family would remain. Sues dedication to her family was the driving force of many cherished family adventures, travels and experiences. Sue pushed her children to live up to their fullest potential and expected nothing but the best and she did not believe in ridiculous excuses. Sue supported her children through school and their own careers and was always willing to help them with anything. As with her husband Joe, Sue enjoyed more than anything quality time with family. Camping, worldwide traveling, mountain skiing at the family cabin in Big Bear, river and desert trips were among the familys favorites. Sue wanted to expose her children to all the things and opportunities that life could offer. Sue was also known to be quite social. She never met a stranger. She enjoyed talking about most anything to anyone who would listen. Sue wasnt shy when expressing her point of view. For what it was worth, anyone who met Sue knew where she stood and how she felt. Sue leaves behind her loving family, Son Eric (wife Crissy), son Wesley (wife Heidi), and daughter Heidi. She also leaves behind her four granddaughters Madison, Meghan, Brooke and Brenna who will miss Grandmas funny stories, love and support.
