Sylvia Baltierra

Sylvia Baltierra was born in Loredo, Texas on February 15, 1956. She was 1 of 10 children born to Fabiana Vargas Matamoros. Sylvia was loved by her two daughters, Erica Wilson, Monica Baltierra, her grandson, Carlos Robert Espinoza, and great-granddaughter, Sophia Divine Espinoza. She past away on November 30, 2020. Sylvia graduated from La Habra High School in 1974. She went on to study nursing with Job Corps in Albuquerque, New Mexico and received her Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate. Sylvia retired after 23 years of service from Alta Vista Health Care where she provided rehabilitation and healthcare services for seniors. Her dedication and ability to relate with patients is something to be admired. Sylvia enjoyed cooking, gardening, music, and dancing to her "oldies but goodies". Most of all, Sylvia loved spending time with her family and friends. Those who knew her would say she had a contagious laugh and a heart of gold. Sylvia was unique in the way she embraced and loved people; her friendship was truly unconditional. Today we come together as family and friends to celebrate Sylvia's life. As we say goodbye, please cherish and keep her memory alive. Sylvia would not want us to be sad. She would expect nothing less than smiles, laughter and of course dancing. "Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I'll miss you until we meet again".
