Tanh Siyarath

OBITUARY

Tanh Siyarath passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 at the age of 89. He was born in Vientiane, Laos on March 12, 1936, to Pheng and Say Siyarath. Tanh was a devoted husband, Father and Grandfather.

Tanh was a proud and accomplished air force pilot during the time of the Laos Royal Monarchy. He graduated at the top of his class and was awarded the opportunity to study abroad in Germany, France and the United States. He spoke French and English along with his native language of Lao. Tanh married Oudone in September of 1973.

Tanh loved the outdoors and was very active, enjoying going on walks, riding his bike and watering his garden. But he loved most spending time with his children and grandchildren at home and often taking vacations with them.

Tanh is survived by his wife, Oudone Siyarath; children; Souphanh Siyarath, Kaisone Siyarath, Anoukone Siyarath, Phonesana Siyarath, Bay Siyarath Daniel, Joy Siyarath, Dewey Siyarath; Grandchildren; Sandie Khanthavixay, Peter Khanthavixay, Franky Khanthavixay, Syntheyah Siyarath, Jade Siyarath, Rhanay Siyarath, Landon Daniel and Ashiana Daniel. He is preceded in death by his parents, brother and sisters.
