Tim I. Martin was born in Long Beach, California on March 15, 1951. His greatest source of pride was his marriage to Jackie Martin, a union dubbed the "World's Most Perfect Relationship" (as noted by the initials on her license plate). Together, they created a union vowed to be an inspiration to others…and it was. After a stint in radio and cable TV sports, Tim worked in retail, packaging, transportation, real estate, finance and legal services. Published for four decades, including a selection in the book From the Heart: Stories of Love and Friendship (an account of their marriage), he used language to educate, enlighten and entertain. (He's credited as "Dances With Words" in a best-selling book he helped edit). One of his goals was to End angered species. Blessed with an "animal magnetism", he was the object of affection of many critters, including a porcupine, penguin, turkey, gibbon, water buffalo and camel. Tim was Jackie's everything. He was the most loving and lovable partner on the planet. He was her best friend and always there when she needed him. Tim opened her eyes to life, love and giving. As a writer, he showed Jackie how to see things from a whole different, wonderful perspective. As a screen writer he showed her how to watch movies with a more discerning eye, which in turn made them more enjoyable. Tim loved words, language and puns. His license plate, when Jackie first met him, read "PUNSPUN". Tim planned AMAZING weddings that allowed us to experience unbelievable adventures that most people can only dream about! Tim was always there to lend a hand, not just for Jackie, but to help a neighbor, a friend, a stranger. He went out of his way to make other people's lives better and safer. Tim would call neighbors to make sure they were OK when their garage door was up for what seemed too long. He was the dog whisperer of the neighborhood. People would bring stray dogs to our door, knowing that if anyone could, Tim would find their companion(s). Tim loved to "dog sit"! Neighbors would bring their dog(s) to our house, knowing that they would be more than well cared for! Many neighbors gave Tim the code or key to their homes so he could go in and take care of their beloved four-leggeds. There has never been and will never be, a more loving, caring, sweet and incredible husband as Jackie found in Tim Martin. He made her a much better person by helping her strive to match his high standards of ethics, morals, puns and fun-loving play!! He will be remembered and missed more than mere words can ever express. Jackie loved him from the bottom of her heart and with all of her being and will cherish their life together forever.
