Virginia Louise Foster, 90, of Riverside, CA passed away at 9:34 PM in her residence on May 29th, 2026

Virginia was born September 22nd, 1935 in Decatur Illinois, the daughter of Thural and Nellie Camp Sowers.  She retired from Toro in February 1995 after working 20 years.  She married Lyle Dean Foster on May 24th, 1955.  Virginia was a Sunday school teacher at Tyler Ave Baptist Church for over 50 years and loved baking cookies at holiday times for her family and friends.  In her younger years, she was on a bowling league at Brunswick Lanes.

Virginia is survived by her children, James Foster and Debra Taylor (Daniel Jones) of Riverside, brothers Robert Sowers, Wayne Sowers, Gene Sowers (Rosie) and Gary Sowers, all of Decatur and sister Carol Shafer (Jim) of Decatur: grandchildren, Jennifer Jones, Michael Wright (Sharon Suria), Brittney Wright (Chase Groce) and Mark Wright all of Riverside, James Foster Jr and Justin Foster both of San Marcos, and Jason Foster (Kourtney) of Murfreesboro, TN and five great grandchildren.

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Marvin, Ross, Rex and Darrell and Daughter, Linda.
