William "Bill" Fisher went home to be with the Lord on July 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, generosity, kindness, and unwavering devotion to those he loved.

Bill shared 39 wonderful years of marriage with his high school sweetheart, Kelly. He was a devoted husband and a proud father to his sons, Jack and Joseph.

Bill spent most of his life in Southern California, though he cherished the eight years he lived in Big Bear Lake. In his younger years, he enjoyed running track, playing football, boating, wakeboarding, and snowboarding. Throughout his life, he maintained a love for the outdoors. Hiking and backpacking the local mountains brought him great joy and reflected his adventurous spirit.

Bill began his career as a sprinkler fitter, working alongside his father at D & B Fire Protection. After his father's passing, he founded West Coast Fire Protection. Following a career-ending injury, Bill embraced a new challenge by returning to college, where he earned both his bachelor's and master's degrees. His determination and perseverance led him into a rewarding second career in education.

Bill's legacy lives on through the family he loved, the students, colleagues, and friends whose lives he touched.

For 26 years, Bill served the Corona-Norco Unified School District as a teacher, president of the Corona-Norco Teachers Association, and later as a school district administrator. He retired from education in June 2025.

Always curious and eager to learn, Bill was an avid reader, researcher, problem solver, and story teller. He always had several projects underway and preferred to do things himself, whether it was installing a home solar system, growing fruit trees, composting, raising a worm farm, refurbishing old boats, or changing the brakes on his car. He was also an excellent cook who loved preparing meals for family. Known for his warm smile, quick wit, and infectious laugh, Bill had a wonderful sense of humor and brought joy to those around him.

Bill is survived by his wife; his sons; his two loving dogs; his sisters, Jerri Fisher and Christine Yardley; his sisters-in-law, Allison Lee and Idalia Thompson; his brothers-in-law, Mac Thompson and Jason Lee; his mother-in-law, Barbie Thompson, and many beloved nieces and nephews who will deeply miss him.

Bill's legacy lives on through the family he loved, the students, colleagues, and friends whose lives he touched, and the countless people inspired by his kindness, perseverance, and humor.
