William Dennis Morgan

August 2, 1943 — May 1, 2021

William Dennis Morgan was born on August 2nd, 1943 to William "Bill" and Ruth Morgan in Norwalk, California. He was a lifelong resident of California who attended Santa Ana Junior College and continued on to attend Long Beach State. He worked as a Plant Manager at Sparkletts Water Company. He had a mechanical mind and an excellent work ethic which elevated him to management at a young age. His focus, ingenuity and determination brought innovation and a drive for efficiency to the bottling plants that he managed during his 40-year career. Dennis is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carolyn Morgan, his daughters Suzanne, Lisa, Peggy and his late daughter Kim (2019); along with 12 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and many more to come. He has a brother Mike and two sisters Jackie and Debbie. He led a life dedicated to hard work, honesty, integrity and loyalty and impressed those values upon all of his children and grandchildren creating a direct impact on each of them through his many examples. Dennis boldly decided to retire at a young age and leave his work life behind, turning his focus on traveling with Carolyn and supporting his children and grandchildren. Carolyn and Dennis traveled frequently spending summers in the RV in the Sierras and time in Cancun, Cabo San Lucas and Hawaii. They enjoyed skiing in Mammoth and Vail. When they were not travelling, you could find Dennis on the sideline or in the bleachers cheering on his grandchildren. Dennis was an athlete at heart. He was very competitive playing baseball and football from youth through college and transitioning into competitive mountain biking, slalom skiing and golf in his later years. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and golfer who would shoot a round with anyone who would listen and could tell tall tales of small mouth bass on rock piles or trout lurking in the stream for hours. He enjoyed teaching his grandchildren to bait a hook and sink a putt; but mostly he just enjoyed being around his grandchildren. Dennis leaves behind the legacy of a life well lived. He was a man of his word, never afraid to get to work and always there for those he loved. For everything there is a season and although chapters must always end, legends live forever.
